Week 13 - Journey of Gratitude
As always I enjoyed the readings from this week's lesson of understanding what it takes on our entrepreneur journey. With reading the case study about Randy and his personal and professional journey to becoming an entrepreneur it reminded me that I love to be part of a new business, but have never desired to start one on my own.
Because I am extroverted and love working with a team of people in a great office, I have always steered my career towards working for great companies. Some of my favorite past jobs were when I was passionate about my work and enjoyed the friendship and collaboration of the team I worked with. Overtime I have learned that is all about your attitude and keeping your chin in up in times of stress and deadlines. People enjoy being around people who uplift and are happy more than someone who is pessimistic and negative about everything.
Another great reminder for me this week was with gratitude and remembering that if we have in abundance it is important to impart of your substance. This is not always an easy thing to do as it is easier to focus on yourself and your needs than the needs of others at times. But the reward of showing gratitude to others by helping them out when they need it brings so much joy to ones life. I liked being reminded of this at this time in the world with all the turmoil and animosity in the world today it is great to be reminded to serve and to be grateful for what we do have in our lives.
