Week 10 - Dream big Dreams

I really enjoyed pondering the material learned from this week and also doing the mentor paper to reflect on what I learned.  I really liked the article the "The heart of entrepreneurship" as it shed great light on what it means to be an entrepreneur.  Understanding that you can be a part of a company and have an entrepreneur mindset which will allow you to be a better leader and manager. 

The biggest thing that I learned and felt good about this week was the path to finish all my education and then create a plan for the next step in my career.  I am grateful I have the opportunity to start a family and stay home with my kids while finishing my education.  I have always struggled before I was married to focus on school as I was so involved with work. Now being married and not having to work has provided me with the time to focus on school and my family which I am grateful for. 

Dallin H. Oaks talk was also a great reminder especially in the time we are living in that we need to act and ensure that we are applying the gospel to our lives.  It can be easy to be lazy in the gospel and do the minimal but when you become a disciple of Christ you will want to live the gospel to it's fullness.

Week 14 - Last Post - Celebrate your Life

This class flew by and I cannot believe it is already over.  I learned so many things to ponder and consider with my life going forward.  I loved the talk by President Monsen "Finishers Wanted", as it really hit home about being a finisher and not just a starter. I loved the quote in the talk about the mark of effort, which read " Vision without effort is daydreaming; effort without vision is drudgery; but vision, coupled with effort, will obtain the prize."  How easy it is to think about getting things done or think of things we want to do but acting on those thoughts is what makes the biggest difference in our lives.  So many insights and learning from this course about what I really want to do next professionally with my life.  It became very clear to me why I love project management and how I want to continue on in the field.  Also, understanding how to have a better mentality when going into a job and realizing that if you are not at a job you love you...
