Week 6 - Self-mastery
I enjoyed reading this week's material as it gave me some moments of realization about moving forward with an idea to start a business and become an entrepreneur. My favorite thing was to see that you do not need a solid business plan to move forward with an idea you have. I think of the example with my husband who decided to start working on an app. He came up with the idea as he kept wanting something like this and because there was not something already created he decided he would create it himself.
It has been fun watching the progress he has made, but they of course some with set backs. One of the most important lesson's is to not give up just because something does not progress the way you envisioned it. To me this is part of self-mastery as we all have things in our lives that we may want to give up or walk away from but keeping at them and practicing will give us the satisfaction of mastering something.
I also really enjoyed reading about where good ideas come from and how working for a company you can learn a lot about yourself. I know that some of my past jobs have taught me the most about myself and what I really love to do. I am not sure I would have learned these things had I not chosen to pursue the career that I did. I am excited to explore new ideas and see where the next couple of years take me.
